Club Meeting November 20, 2018
Opening and Welcome:  President Dick Kisiel opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and the recitation of the Rotary Four-Way Test.  Scott Seabury provided the invocation and led the club singing of “God Bless America”.
Members Present:  Dale Baker, Joe Blake, Gayle Demko, Greg DeSantis, Frank DiGennaro, Gail Handley, Greg Heineman, Richard Kisiel, Jon Kozloski, Jack Muska, Ken Pascoe, Roger Pratt, Jay Presser, Scott Seabury, Gordon Stagg and Nancy Viggiano.  (17/32….53%).
Guests: Jean DeSantis-guest of Greg DeSantis and our guest speaker, Dr. Stacey Munro and daughter Clare.
Announcements: President Kisiel made several announcements:

Holiday Party:  The Holiday Party is scheduled for Dec. 4 at Crestview Country Club in Agawam MA.  The festivities will begin with appetizers at 6 pm.  The cost is $45.00 a person and will include entertainment.  Signups were collected at registration and payment will be collected next Tuesday (by Roger Pratt).  Email Nancy Viggiano ( with your dinner choices if unable to register at the meeting.  Dinner choices are Roast Sirlolin of Beef, Chicken Piccata or Boston Baked Scrod.  Deadline Tuesday, Nov 27 – don’t miss our celebration!!
Sand & Salt:  Ken announced the event has been advertised in the Observer and he anticipates the need for two trucks to deliver the buckets to Seniors requesting them.  The delivery date is Dec 1.
Salvation Army Bell Ringing:  Dec 22 & 23 at Dunkin Donuts and Highland Park.  Joe Blake will handle set up and take down of the donation kettle; all spots have been filled and Dick will contact Interact Club to request their assistance again this year.
Dick has requested a Membership Committee meeting be held at his home on December 9.  Details will follow.
PROGRAM:  Dick introduced our speaker, Dr. Stacey Munro, a Naturopathic Medical Specialist with a practice at 178 Mountain Road.  Dr. Munro described the history of this “ancient” treatment system which assesses the whole person to effect a natural treatment approach for many conditions (such as: high blood pressure, high cholesterol, Diabetes Type I and II, Stress Management, Weight Gain/Loss, Arthritis, Allergies, Autoimmune Disease, Digestive Problems to name a few).  Naturopaths focus on a holistic approach and aim to prevent illness through stress reduction and changes to diet and lifestyle.  This approach has been effective for acute and chronic conditions utilizing natural treatments which strengthen the body and improve function.  More information about this topic can be found at Dr. Munro’s website
Blue Ticket Winners: Blue ticket winner was Dale Baker with a side won by Dick Kisiel.
Queen of Hearts:  Greg Heineman had the winning ticket and did not pull the Queen of Hearts.  Total winning pot now stands at $1020+.
Birthdays and Anniversaries: Anniversaries noted for this week include Ray Perleoni and Natalie Donais.
Adjournment: Scott closed the meeting with a group singing of “My Country Tis of Thee”.
