The Giving Committee recommends $1000 be donated to Dr. Andy Wakefield for support of establishing a prosthetic clinic in Peru.  This international project is supported by several area Rotary organizations and Suffield will join them in support of this worthwhile project.  A quorum in required to vote upon this recommendation.
Opioid Discussion/Meeting with Suffield Police Department.  Dick notes Enfield and Somers have designed a pamphlet which outlines methods and available resource for assistance with this epidemic. Suffield Police would like Suffield Rotary to assist with funding of a similar pamphlet – cost is $800 for 10,000 copies.  Dick proposed we ask the banks for assistance in funding this project.
Dick introduced Mark Danaher, a Career Transition and Retirement Coach. Mark discussed retirement concerns and the impact upon life’s arena and assessment.  He tells us that Retire to the Good Life was unofficially started many years ago when working with retiring teachers at his high school. “Each year I would get a handful of teachers coming to me trying to figure out the next stage in their life. I would help them figure out their purpose and connection for what they needed in life from getting a part-time job, volunteering, getting ready for a new career path or simply to find a way to explore their passion and dreams.”
Mark provided the following link to his presentation video for your referral.  He also recommends reading the articles on his website which provide positive outlooks for retirement.
