President's Message

Message form the Vice President

Last week we have a fascinating presentation from Dave Soja of CRC.  David M. Soja CRC, ABVE is a practicing private vocational rehabilitation consultant and vocational expert. He established CRC Services in Massachusetts in 1981 with additional offices in Connecticut, New York and California. Nationwide availability, prompt record reviews and timely comprehensive reports. Dave and his associate, Kerry Skillin, told us about the work they do consulting on Legal cases related to disability and employment.  It was a lively presentation with a lot of questions, skillfully answered.

This Friday we will hear from Jean Canosa, and Matthew Blumfield representing the Springfield Library.  I for one, am interested to hear what’s new at the library.

Our next date at the Friends of the Homeless is May 2nd.  Mike Rzepka will be looking for volunteers to help-out that Thursday.  Reach out to him, if you are available.

Our District Governor Kate Sims will be joining us on the 26th (no meeting on the 19th).  In addition to district updates, she will be sharing with us the activities and service opportunities related to Opiod Task Force.

Our Chalk-it-up event is coming up in May.  The planning committee will have updates at coming meetings.  It promises to be a great event.  Put May 18 on your calendar.

The club will send a condolence card but if you would like to contact Stan, you can reach him at 7713 Killbarrow Drive Laurel, MD 20707. Thanks to Al Gay for letting us know. WE NEED YOUR HELP
Dene Kimball could use a little help with displaying our Rotary flags at meetings. Dene is planning some extended vacation time soon and would like a few Rotarians to volunteer and put up the flags while he’s away (or give him a break now and then). The flags are stored at Max’s and only take a few minutes to put up or take down. Please talk to Dene about helping out. And thank you for your participation in helping to display our flags!
