Mason-Wright Retirement Community’s expansion project will feature items from Springfield's history. The facility at 74 Walnut St. in the Mason Square neighborhood has begun a $1.5 million redecorating and expansion funded by a tax-free bond obtained through MassDevelopment, the state's economic development and finance agency. Alan Popp has collected and/or recreated items from the Rialto Skating Rink, Johnson's Bookstore and Court Square Theater.
