I AM A POLIO SURVIVOR - THIS IS MY STORY

Gaye is a polio survivor and will share her story through a question and answer presentation.

Rotary has focused on Polio elimination and is one of the founding partners for Global Polio Eradication Initiatives (GPEI) - joining in 1988 alongside the World Health Organization as well as UNICEF and US Cetners for Disease Control. At that time, polio was endemic in 125 countries paralyzing over 350,000 children every year.

To the end of August this year, there have been twenty two cases of wild polio. We are so close to eliminating polio.
