The 1367th meeting of the Rotary Club of Sooke was brought to order at 12:15 on June 14th, 2017 by President John Topolniski.
Roger Temple led the club in the singing of O Canada and Neil Flynn offered an invocation.
Guests today were Gary Davis visiting from a Nanaimo Rotary Club and Bob Phillips also joined us for lunch today.
Kel has informed us that due to the poor attendance at last weeks meeting and the subsequent waste of food. Village foods have decided to charge us with a minimum of 15 lunches. He has therefore asked that any member who will be unable to attend a lunch meeting to please inform the club of their absence so the food quantity may be adjusted accordingly.
The Grizzlies Hockey game has a confirmed date set for Sun Sept 3rd. at 2pm. It will be a game between the Alberny Valley Bulldogs and the Grizzlies.
Lions Club of Sooke has asked that our club help with the Canada Day celebrations be running the 50/50 draw from 12pm until 10pm.  A volunteer sign-up sheets will be handed around at next weeks meeting. 
There is to be an evening meeting to be held on June 28th. from 5:30 to 7:00 pm.  An email will be forwarded to advise of the Venue.
Naomi Ponech has donated a lap top computer to the club. Thank You Naomi.

Thanks you letters were read out from Team Sooke and the Sooke Load Cupboard.
Margot Swinburnson introduced the guest speaker Harold Cull. Secretary Treasurer of School District 62. He outlined some of  the number of changes that have taken place with the District over the past few years and he talked about his role over the past 5 years.  He also offered his Thanks to the Club for its support in the past.
Tom DeZeng thanked our speaker.
The meeting was adjourned at 1:30pm.
