The 1412 meeting of the Rotary Club of Sooke was called to order at 12:15pm, by President Roger Temple. Todays meeting was held at Village Foods.
 
 
Quests today Brant Blackhall, District of Sooke. Lorraine Pawlivskey-Love, and todays speaker, Staff Sargent, Jeff McArthur.
Jean Lister read a Rotary Moment.
Announcements:  A thank you notice for all participants to our RAD evening has been submitted in the local paper.
June 2nd is the Sunriver Garage Sale. 8am to 2pm.
Chris Hyde is taking a leave of absence until July 1st.
Anniversaries: Deb Johnston was been with the club for 16 years on May 22nd. and Jean Trickey is a 3 year member as of May 27th.
June 13th club Assemble will be an opportunity for members to discuss and offer suggestions concerning the RAD evening.
Judy Byron is looking for a host for a Russian Exchange Student for a week  in July .
Deb Johnston introduced our speaker Staff Sargent, Jeff McArthur who outlined some of the changes and activities happening at our local Sooke Detachment.
Mark Zeigler thanked our speaker for coming.
A bar be que will be held at Frank Gertsma's home next Wednesday at 5pm. BYOB, meal for the bar be que and a dish to share.
Meeting was adjourned at 1:23pm.
