May 16, 2018 Meeting 1411 of the Rotary Club of Sooke brought to order at 5:50pm by President Roger Temple. This evening meeting was held at Mai Mai's Restaurant, Sooke.
Approximate $21,000 was raised at the RAD,(Rotary Auction dinner). all 200 tickets were sold. A great success and a big Thank you to all Rotarians for making this evening the success that is was.
A special thanks to Kim Legeard for all her hard work.
The Rotary Bike sale will take place at the Sunriver Garage Sale on June 2nd. Roger Temple hopes to have Approximately 20 bikes ready for the sale.
The organizers of this garage sale are looking for volunteers to make a presence to act as a small level of security. The garage sale will take place between 8am and 2pm.
Our next meeting will be at Village foods at 12:15 and there will be Bar B Qu on May 30th at Frank Gertsma's home. BYOB, a dish to share and something to cook on the bar be.
The RAD will be discussed at Club Assemble on June 13th. Please bring your thoughts and suggestions.
