The 1410 meeting of the Rotary Club of Sooke was called to order by President Roger Temple at 12:15.
The singing of O Canada was led by Roger and Jean Lister offered the invocation.
Roger introduced our guest today, Jamie Adour the Safety and Youth Officer from SD 62.
On behalf of all the Board Roger offered a big Thank you  to Jean Lister for hosting a delicious dinner at our Board Meeting of May 1st.
Roger announced that on May 6th Sam Purdy was another year older and Errol Anderson  celebrated his Birthday on May 4th. Congratulations.
Tom DeZeng has been a member of The Rotary Club of Sooke for 20 years as of May 6th and Neil Flynn has been a member for 16 years on May 8th.
Announcements concerning the RAD Rotary Dinner/Auction coming up on Saturday.
Ticket sales have gone very well and there are only a few tickets remaining.
Members are asked to come to the venue at 10 am on Saturday to assist with set up and Item drop off will take place at 11:00 ma.
Frank Gertsma has offered to run a parking shuttle service on Saturday evening.
 Peter Faulkner and Neil Flynn will be handling Live Auction Set up with 40 items in the Live. Kim, Vicki and volunteers will be on Silent Auction Set Up with 50 items.
Proxy Votes will be allowed.
It was discussed as to weather the Club would prefer to sing O Canada at the beginning of only a few special meeting rather then every week. A vote was taken and the show of hands was in favour of this suggestion. As was the suggestion that the invocation become more of a Rotary Moment.
Neil Flynn outlined a few of the events that will be coming up. These events will be listed on the website calendar.
Jeannette announced that the Budget is available to be seen on Club runner.  She noted that the Club has money to spend.
Membership Chair Jean Lister is looking for everyone to invite and look for potential new members.
