This month is Family Month for Rotary. It is very fitting as the year draws to a close and we gather to celebrate the holidays that we celebrate our families, both personal and our Rotary Family as well! The first few days of December are going to be a whirlwind for Rotary so I am going to start with dates.
Thursday December 1 – EMCS 10,000 Tonight!                                                                                                  Come join our EMCS youth   from 5 PM at the school for the food drive. Or, if you are unable to join them, make sure you have a can or two (Or 10) to donate when the students come to your door. This is the second year for this great  food drive to help those at Christmas.
Saturday December  3rd – Rotary Christmas Party at  Fellow Rotarian Frank Gertsma's home at 2027A Ayurveda Rd (turn left Sooke Rd onto Ludlow Rd and follow same until you reach the T in the road at Ayum where you turn right and go up to the end.  Frank's home is up on the right.)  
Sunday December 4th –Christmas Tree Decorating at SEAPARC!!!! Please drop by and give Deb a hand decorating the Rotary Christmas Tree!
Sunday December 4th- Christmas Parade! We will need help with decorations and of course, marchers. Assembly starts at Sooke Elementary at 4:00, parade sets off at 5:00.
And last, but not the least, the Salvation Army Christmas Kettle. From Peter Faulkner : This will run for 10 days- Wednesday the 14th and go to Saturday the 24th. Peter will bring a signup sheet to the Wednesday Nov 30th meeting.     
Unfortunately Santa (And our President John T.) will not be able to attend due to a hip replacement. ALL the best for a speedy recovery John!!!
