AMHERST ROTARY COMMUNITY GRANT
The Rotary Club of Amherst accepts requests from local non-profit organizations and government agencies interested in applying for an Amherst Rotary Community Grant. Consideration is dependent on the nature of the project and that it fits our criteria below. The amount of the Community Grant is dependent upon need as well as any limitations of the funds we have to offer at the time of the request. In the past Community Grants have ranged from $10,000 to $50,000. Grants will be awarded to fund a single project that will provide an important and sustainable improvement to the quality of life in our community. You can get further information by calling 413-256-0111 or by clicking on the email address below. Once the Community Grant committee decides to consider your request you can download a copy of the application to the left. Applications should be returned to the Committee for further consideration and the committee may ask for further information before a decision will be made. A decision could take as long as 30 days once all requested information is received.
The mission of the Amherst Rotary Community Grant is to fund a single, major local project each year that provides an important and sustainable improvement to the quality of life in our area, which continues long after grant funds have been spent.
Please note that, for purposes of this grant, “sustainability” refers exclusively to the duration of project benefits and not ongoing operating expenses.
