This scholarship is to support the college matriculation of a well-qualified and deserving student with an interest in collegiate study emphasizing mathematics and/or the physical or earth science disciplines.

The University Hills Rotary Foundation is a created 501(c)3 adjunct to the University Hills Rotary Club, which meets in Colorado.  The funds that are managed by this foundation come from donations by individual members of the University Hills Club, and fund raising activities conducted by the club.  Current funding begins with $4500 in year one and increases to $5000, $5500 and $6000 in subsequent years. The study will need to be conducted at an accredited four year school in the state of Colorado, and the student must be a resident of the Rotary District within which the University Hills Rotary Club lies.  Rotary district 5450 is essentially metro Denver, reaching from Longmont in the north to Castle Rock in the south and from Summit CO to the Eastern Plains.

 

Rotary International is the original service club. Its focus is on human service locally, internationally, and vocationally.  It is over 100 years old and organizes programs emphasizing human interaction and welfare with the expressed purpose of improving the human condition and bringing peace to the world.  Rotarians number over 1.25 million in 32,000 clubs in excess of 160 countries.
