Join us in sending the gift of music to our troops serving worldwide, and to those recuperating from injuries at home and abroad. Send a guitar package to our troops...

... to say thank you

... to help reduce stress

... to help recover from wounds

... to simply help

For more information on how you can participate, call Aurora Fitzsimons Rotary Club - 303.690.9779 or visit

Just one guitar can provide enjoyment to one or one hundred troops (both in playing and listening) and fulfill their constant requests for music.

Imagine yourself far from home in a very different culture without the comforts of home - always on alert

as you keep one another safe from harm's way. Imagine each day filled with fighting a war, working to win

over people from another culture. Imagine those in a military unit who are dealing with the loss of a fellow

soldier and friend or those in our military hospitals recuperating from injuries as they served and defended

freedom in a foreign land. If you can imagine these things, then you will understand how the gift of music can

bring that needed therapy... that moment's pause from the reality of the price our military personnel gladly pay

to ensure freedom, democracy and aid as they serve our country.

$150 provides this entire package (valued at $400):

· A Harvest acoustic guitar (custom made to withstand the rigors of tough environments and rough handling)

· A padded gig bag

· Extra guitar strings and picks

· A shoulder strap

· A lesson/chord book with CDs

· An acknowledgment letter

"Guitars for the Troops came about from a desire to provide musical therapy to our military troops serving overseas and recuperating from injuries. The great thing about playing a musical instrument is it provides therapy to the player and also to the listener. As long as the instrument can be played, it will provide music for as few as one and as any as thousands. These guitars are made for years of use, which means they will be played now and well into the future."

Gordon Close, Guitars for the Troops Founder

"We want to assist with thanking our military personnel and helping them to heal their hearts and hands."
