Message from our Club President

Good afternoon, fellow Rotarians,
These are interesting times, to say the least. We have entered uncharted territory, and a place that reduces our comfort zone. However, in the words of District Governor, Curt Harris, "But we, as Rotarians, with our motto of Service Above Self, are great at seeing the bigger picture and helping make our communities, and the world, a better and safer place."
The First Lutheran Church is now potentially closed through the end of August, thus we will likely continue virtual meetings, but the decision will rest upon the shoulders of our incoming President, Dave Ferro.
The health and welfare of our club members is the primary consideration during these difficult times. If there is something we can do to help you, please let Diane Stow and the Family of Rotary committee know. Diane can be reached via email at
Stay safe and healthy!
Nancy Rezac
President, The Rotary Club of Longmont

Over Half-Way to Our Club Polio Goal
Our Polio campaign continues through May and early June. Our club goal is to provide 2,000 doses, at $3.00/dose, raising $6,000 for Polio.  At present, our club has raised over $4,000. Additionally, we have a club member who has offered a challenge to us. If we meet our club goal of $6,000, that club member will match up to $2000. That would put us at $8,000 and with the 2:1 match from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, we would raise $24,000. Quite Impressive Indeed!
You can make your donation in several ways:  1) Write a check, payable to Rotary International Foundation and send to Bob Parsons at P.O. Box 272, Longmont, CO. 80502.  2) You can also drop off your check at ACE Hardware, attention: DAN GUST. 3) Make your payment to Rotary International by following this link.
Don't  forget your donation is matched 2:1 from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.  So, if you donate $100.00, your gift becomes $300.00.  The pandemic has not changed our commitment to the eradication of polio.
