Campaign Ads: the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

KENNETH BICKERS is Professor of Political Science at the University of Colorado at Boulder.  He is Chair of the Political Science Department.  He was the founding director of the CU in DC program, which offers CU students opportunities to intern and take CU courses in Washington, DC.  He joined the faculty at CU-Boulder in 2003 after many years on the faculty at Indiana University and prior to that, Rice University.  He received his Ph.D. in 1988 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his undergraduate degree in 1981 from TCU in Fort Worth, Texas.  He is the co-author of three books and the author or co-author of numerous journal articles. His current research examines the politics of campaigns and elections.  He is currently completing a book entitled Policy Performance and the Consumer-Voter, which focuses on the impact of policy performance, or more specifically policy mal-performance, on local electoral politics. He appears often in the media, locally as well as nationally.
