West Reading FallFest Sept. 18, 2021 - Plant A Tree
The world needs more Rotarians and community outreach is one way to encourage membership while at the same time giving back to others. In addition to giving away 550 tree seedlings we provided free popcorn the sold grilled cheese sandwiches and water. The goal was to raise money to help purchase a Shelter Box which provides emergency shelter after disaster strikes and support local community projects which focus on Rotary’s 2021 theme “Serve to Change Lives”. FallFest was also a perfect opportunity to have our Wilson Interact Club join us in community outreach and did awesome distributing tree seedlings and selling water!
District Governor Official Visit Oct. 14th
District Governor 2021-2022, Robert (Bob) Hobaugh will share his Rotary vision and priorities for our District 7430 Clubs.

Join us on Wednesday, October 20th at noon, when Al Engel member of the District 7430 STEM YEA Leadership Team will provide an update on the July 2022 Rotary STEM Youth Explorer Academy residential camp planned for middle school students in conjunction with the SETI Institute and Albright College SRI (Science Research Institute).
We are SO close to eradicating Polio. Help us raise funds to support the efforts. All monies raised during this event will be donated to Rotary's Polio Plus fund. For more information about the effort and success of this program, for details visit EndPolio.org.
Our club outfitted room #32 at Mary's Shelter in the newly renovated lower level, which will house the youth STRONG Program. Schuylkill Valley High School students designed the room for or a homeless male youth.Thank you to all who volunteered their time and/or donated items.

Thank You for sharing your personal and professional background during your Classification Talk on October 6th.
