Flags may be sponsored to honor individuals currently serving in our Active-Duty Military, Veterans, Fallen Servicemen & Women, First Responders, Police, Heroes in Our Lives to Hometown Heroes such as teachers, non-profit leaders or the neighbor who’s always there for you. This unique event is the perfect opportunity for all of us to remember and honor our many heroes.
This one fundraiser enables us to support the many service initiatives throughout the year that our Club champions including but not limited to:
Student Services (Wilson Interact, Student of Month, 4-Way Test Speech Competition, Camp Neidig, STEM YEA, Exchange Students, Scholarships),
Matching Grant (Little Free Libraries, Planting Trees, Lighthouse Playground, Composting and International Projects)
Donations to Community Service Organizations (Hope Rescue Mission, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Children’s Home, Literacy & English as Second Language, Berks Veterans Temporary Assistance Grant, West Reading Summer Basketball)
Environmental Sustainability, Disease Prevention, Hygiene, Health & Mental Wellness. Economic Development, Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention Programs
We hope all our Club members can participate in some way by dedicating a flag, sponsoring the Field of Honor®, promoting flag dedications, or volunteering their time and resources.
Jay Ostrich, Director Berks County Department of Veterans Affairs (BCVA) our luncheon keynote speaker about the challenges our Veterans are facing. We will continue to look for service project opportunities and other ways to support BCVA mission of connecting our Heroes and families with the benefits and care they have earned, while promoting a community that honors their service and supports their optimal wellbeing.
Wilson Interact Club
Student officer's 2023/24 and 2024/25 along with their Advisor Rotarian Chris Daubert join us and shared what they have done and plan to do. These 100 Interact members are amazing! Our Club really enjoys when we have opportunities to work together with them on community service projects.

Bring your plastic bags & plastic wrap recyclables to our Wednesday meetings for collection, the 1st and 3rd Wednesday at Noon at the YR Club. Rotarian Dany Martinez-Ramos is coordinating collection.
