Rotary Youth Exchange

At our June 3rd meeting we celebrated the amazing experience and insights we
have had with our inbound exchange student Cam from France. It was amazing to see her monthly pictorial presentation of her time here and the many first-time experiences. We recognized and thanked Allison, Jon, and Corrin for their commitment as her host family and all Rotarians that supported Cam during her time here.
The Club members enjoyed meeting our outbound exchange student Jay for 26/27 and learning more about him and his plans. Rotary Youth Exchange provides students with the opportunity to learn a new language and discover another culture – learn more at: https://www.rotary7430yep.org/
"Meet Our Fellow Rotarians"
At our May 20th luncheon, we enjoyed hearing from members of our club.
Todd Balthaser shared how his time in the military helped him get focused. Afterwards he went into cell phone sales and then banking. He looks forward to gradually acclimating to the Rotary club and finding ways where his skills will be helpful.
We learned from Ed Hein about his pediatric residency in Washington DC and woodshop where he makes all kinds of things, notably Chippendale furniture! He also shared that his mother told him, no matter what he did for work, to do something that helped others.
Their presentations not only offered meaningful insights into their unique backgrounds and passions but also ignited enthusiasm for getting involved and making a difference together.
