REMINDER: Any first time guest can attend a club meeting for FREE but any subsequent visits should be paid for. BIG CHEESE EVENT: This year we will be helping package items for the Greater Reading Food Bank on Friday, 6/15, from 6pm to 9pm at the Penn State Berks Community Center Gym. See Dana for the sign up sheet. Save the Date - our annual Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018 at Manor Golf Course. We have cash raffle tickets for sale, tickets are $10 each or 3 for $25. 1st prize is $1000, 2nd prize is $500, 3rd prize is $250, 4th prize is $150, and 5th prize is $100. Who would not want to win CASH! See Joanna or Marie for tickets. Rotary Foundation – Want to simplify your giving…enroll online at www.rotary.org/give or grab a form from the check-in table at our weekly meeting. As little as $10/month will contribute significantly to our goal. Remember, if you prefer your contribution be directed to our club’s goal, select Annual Fund-SHARE, Polio Plus Fund or an approved Grant. We are well on our way to reach our goal of $5,500.00. The 1st ticket has a chance to draw for the Queen of Hearts to win the pot. If the Queen of Hearts is not drawn then the Queen's Treasure grows each week and the card chosen gets ripped up and thrown away, the 2nd ticket gets the remainder. As always a portion of the drawing goes into the Club's general fund. Last week the pot was up to $298! Bring a Friend for FREE!!! - since we are paying to have the whole room (minimum of 35 paid meals) the club is asking us to invite friends / perspective new members / spouses to join us for lunch. The club is paying for the extra meals anyway to ensure we have a pleasant meeting atmosphere thus reducing the noise level we have had to compete with in the past.
