Ways to Get Rotary Club Support for Projects

It is a real tribute to our Rotary club that many of our members are advocates for other non-profits or worthwhile community events or projects.  Sometimes a Rotarian is participating in helping an individual or organization and they ask how to get club support and/or funding.  Each year our board selects specific projects to dedicate our energy, time and financial support.  These projects are Rotary supported and endorsed.  You have the following options to promote or support a non-funded project or event:

  1. Make a board presentation asking for Rotary endorsement.  Our board meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 7:15 am at the Wyomissing Family Restaurant.  Please contact the President of the club to schedule a presentation.
  2. The board may choose to support a project but if funding is not budgeted the advocate may be asked to complete a document for Non-Budgeted Requests.
  3. For promoting an event present a Happy Dollar at a regular luncheon meeting and let other Rotarians know about the activity.
  4. Make a recommendation to Vice President/Program Chair, Gail Landis, to invite the director of a non-profit to speak at our luncheon.  Many grant opportunities and funding has been a result of speakers explaining their mission and hopes to support children, education and/or other worthwhile community needs.
