Stories

September 3, 2015

On August 27th we celebrated Rotary with a visit from District Governor, Doug Cook who talked about service, membership, foundation, fun and the progress on the Districts Million Dollar Journey. Upcoming service projects that include the Potato Harvest project on September 20th, Adopt-A-Highway cleanup in October and the 2015 Polar Plunge in December. Our Rotary theme this year is “Be a Gift to the world”. Each of us can help membership by sharing the good news, challenging ourselves and wearing our Rotary pin each day. It will start conversations. Tell our story, why you joined Rotary and why you’re a Rotarian. Bring guests to projects and fundraisers first and meetings second. Ask someone to join Rotary and when you are asked about Rotary, tell your story. The month of September is “Youth Service Month” and we welcome new and returning members of Interact and celebrate club success of this youth related program. Can you imagine what would happen if each of us were to invite a guest to be part of a Rotary event or meeting this year?
