An Introduction to Vocational Service!
The concept of vocational service calls on Rotarians to “encourage and foster”: • High ethical standards in business and professions • The recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations • The dignifying of each Rotarian’s occupation as an opportunity to serve society As a Rotarian, how can you put these ideals into action?
Have you ever watched someone experience something for the first time? As a Rotarian you can feel the same emotion by sharing your time with our exchange student, Kacper. This is Kacpers first time to America and his goal is to learn new things and compare experiences to those he has from Poland. Do you like to hike? Go fishing? Have a home in the mountains? Or near the beach? Or in another city? Do you make a meal that your family loves? Or have a favorite restaurant that makes a dish you enjoy? Please share these things with Kacper. His passion is basketball so anything related to playing, watching or learning about basketball would be on his A list. New experiences are not far behind. Volunteer for a family or new adventure (for Kacper) outing. Volunteer for 2nd semester hosting

MISSION
To provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and help build goodwill and peace in the world. Through New Generations Service, the organization recognizes the positive change implemented by youth and young adults through leadership development activities, involvement in community and international service projects, and exchange programs. Individual clubs determine whether to participate in any particular program sponsored by Rotary International.

0ur guest speaker, fellow Rotarian Allan Syphers, shared the impact Shelter Box has made throughout devastated areas of the world.
Allan displayed a shelter box with some of its contents, and played a video showing how shelter boxes aided people in a disaster area.
For our generous donations to the Shelter Box program, the club was awarded a banner for display. We also donated a check to purchase an additional box to be used when needed.
