Let's Have Some Trash Talk

Adopt-A-Highway – The PA Adopt-A-Highway program has volunteers beautify roadsides two miles at a time. Long ago our club signed a two-year program participation request to pick up litter at least four times a year. In return, PennDOT posted signs along the highway giving us credit for your efforts. We've been doing this for over ten years. These days our highway, State Hill Road only needs cleaning twice a year.

Our next clean up is scheduled for Saturday, October 26th (with a rain date of November 9th). We meet at the Homewood Suites where Alice Kutz cooks breakfast for us. (Is she a wonderful lady or what?) After breakfast we head out and pick up trash on the roadway. This usually takes about an hour. We've passed out a sign-up sheet at meetings and we'll do it again at the next two meetings. Signed up or not why don't you join us. Bring your spouce and tell him/her it's your treat for the week. Drag you kids out kicking and screeming. Seriously, it's great fun for the whole family. Bring your friends, especially ones that have been asking, "Just what do you people do in Rotary?" See you there.
