WRWR Club 4-Way Test Speech Contest

 West Reading-Wyomissing Rotary Club’s 4-Way Test Speech Contest: Feb. 19, 2025

Students from Wilson High School, Wyomissing Area High School and Conrad Weiser Area School District are invited to compete on February 19,2025 at noon during the Club meeting at YR Club, 1029 Thrush Rd, Wyomissing, PA 19610. Winner will receive $125 cash prize and advance to Rotary Regional 4-Way Test Seech Competition. Additional prizes are awarded for Second place ($100) and Third place ($75).

What is the 4-Way Test Speech Contest?

High school students, grades 9 through 12 are eligible to participate. Each contestant chooses the topic of his/her speech. The purpose of the speech is to persuade others while applying the principles of Rotary's 4 Way Test. Rotary Clubs work with the high school(s) in their geographic area to arrange for a Club Contest. The Club winner proceeds to a Regional Contest, and those winners compete in the District Final held at the District Conference. Cash prizes are awarded at all levels. 

The Rotary 4-Way Test is a nonpartisan and nonsectarian ethical guide used by Rotarians worldwide for personal and professional relationships.It consists of four questions:

Is it the TRUTH? 

Is it FAIR to all concerned?

Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?

Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
