Club Update Let's start the year off with a club update.......There was a call to reinstate the "Sunshine Committee".....I stepped up and volunteered. Jim Oehlert's wife, Beverly is in Moss Rehab, in Elkins Park....her blood numbers are not where they should be.....Her sodium is low, and she will not be released until her blood numbers are where they should be. We as a group, sent her flowers yesterday, to brighten her day. Since no one was home, they will be a delayed delivery. I hope 2023 is a better year for the Oehlerts.....I did ask Jim if he needed anything....his kids are very close by and taking good care of him! We are all wishing that Beverly will come home soon. Waiting on Chris to get an update on Chops. Also, our Sargent at Arms, Chris Laskey has been asked to serve on the Board...and I believe he has accepted. I checked in with two of my favorite Rotarians, Gene Krasley and Ed Nugent on New Year's Eve.....Happy New Year was wished to all! The Pancake Breakfast is fast approaching.....holy smokes....3/5/2023.....Tick Tock....right around the corner. After the Pancake breakfast, in April is the Perkiomen Creek clean-up event.....it's usually around Earth Day. Then, if we can get this crazy train on the tracks, the Chili/Chowder fest will be 5/20/2023. |
