With the uncertainty about events and restrictions on indoor crowds, we will be holding our 19th Annual Quakertown Rotary Habitat 5K as a virtual event. You will have a two week window from November 14 to November 28 to run, walk, dance, or skip 5 kilometers and submit your time. The registration fee is $12 and runners can order our iconic “running hammer” long-sleeved t-shirt for an additional $10. You must register buy November 14 to receive a shirt. All registration is online at https://app.mobilecause.com/vf/HfHBucks5K. See the attached information sheet for details.

We look forward to being back “live” for our 20th running on November 27, 2021!

Quakertown Rotary Presents the 19th Annual
Virtual 5K Race
November 14-28, 2020

With the uncertainty of COVID-19, we’ve decided to go virtual for 2020. We know you will miss the smiling volunteers, fabulous post-race grub, and generous awards. But fear not! We plan to be back better than ever for our 20th running on Saturday November 27, 2021!
LOCATION: You pick the route. You can even run the actual course. The route map is posted HERE. The course will NOT be marked and you are on your own to not get lost. Run anytime between November 14 through November 28, which includes the Thanksgiving Holiday. DO NOT run the race route while QUMC is holding a service.
RESULTS: Record your race results and post them HERE  by 8PM on November to be included. Feel free to post pictures and let us know if you ran the “real” course. Times will be posted on the website and at www.quakertownrotary.org. We are walker-friendly so run, walk, skip or dance your way to 3.1 miles.
WHY: Why not? This race supports Habitat for Humanity of Buck County’s mission to provide affordable housing to working families in Bucks County. Many families in Bucks County are paying over 50% of their income in rent with home ownership increasingly out of reach. Now it our 30th year, Habitat Bucks has helped over 100 families achieve the financial security and peace of mind that comes from home ownership. The Quakertown Rotary Club has been fulfilling Rotary’s motto of “Service Before Self” since 1924. The women and men in the club do hands-on service projects and fundraising to address community needs. As part of Rotary’s global network, Quakertown Rotarians support global projects such as Polio Eradication and ShelterBox disaster relief. Visit us by clicking HERE to learn more about us and what we do.
ENTRY: $12 by 11/26. Add $10 to receive a mailed shirt after the race. You must register by November 14 to receive a shirt. All registrations will be online HERE .
AWARDS & SHIRTS: No awards will be given this year as participants will run courses of varying difficulty. Quality long-sleeved shirts with the iconic running hammer logo are available for purchase.
QUESTIONS: Contact race director Bill Tuszynski at 267-374-1631 (before 10 PM please) or wtuszynski@verizon.net.
