Hello Rotarians, The largest event in Quakertown is being held on Tuesday, July 4th at Memorial Park. Community Day is where all the service clubs donate their time to help raise funds to cover the fireworks cost. This year the rotary will once again be serving our community by donating our time to serve food, sell popcorn and enjoy some fellowship with the other clubs in Quakertown community. We need everyone's help with supporting this event. Please use the sign-up registration to indicate which hours you can provide your time with this year. The rotary is the largest service club represented in this event and with that we are the club that gives back the most money. Please consider spending some time in the park with us on July 4, 2017. Thank you, Kevin Smith - Co Chairperson Community Day 2017 Judy Eichorn- Co-Chairperson Community day 2017 contact information for Judy Judy.Eichorn@Sluhn.org

Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County
Sep. 19, 2017
No powerpoint or presentation setup needed. Colleen Brink, Volunteer & Outreach Director for Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County is coming to present the many different ways you, your family or business can engage in their mission to build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter. Habitat Bucks has both a homeownership and home repair program as well as two Bucks County ReStores which serve as a sustainable source of revenue for the mission to build more affordable housing in Bucks County. Colleen joined Habitat after working in service with the Bucks County Housing Group and she was also a Central Bucks School teacher for years at Titus Elementary in Warrington. She is a Buckingham resident and moved to PA from New York 28 years ago. About Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County: Founded in 1990, Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County’s mission is Building Communities, Empowering Families. Since then, it has built 104 affordable homes in Bucks County through its Homeownership Program, which provides an opportunity for low-income families to build strength, stability and self-reliance by partnering with Habitat. Its home repair program, A Brush with Kindness, also makes interior and exterior repairs to help aging and disabled individuals remain safe in their own homes. Revenue from Habitat Bucks ReStores provides a source of sustainable funding for the construction and repair of homes. Habitat Bucks has an open-door policy: All who believe that everyone deserves a decent, affordable place to live are welcome to volunteer to lend a helping hand. For more information, call 215.822.2812 or visit www.habitatbucks.org.
