62 Annual Schwenksville Halloween Parade
The Central Perkiomen Rotary Club is once again presenting the Schwenksville Annual Halloween Parade. The Halloween Parade has been an annual event in Schwenksville since 1956. This year the parade is scheduled to begin at 7:00pm on Thursday, October 26th. Once again we utilized online registration which opened up in early October.  On-site registration starts at 6:00pm at the Heidelberg UCC Church where participants will line up. The parade continues down 2nd Street toward the Post Office on Centennial Street. There is a judging platform set up at Jerusalem Lutheran Church to evaluate the floats and costumes. The parade route finished up in the parking lot beside the Post Office where refreshments and entertainment are offered to the participants. This year music will be provided by Bob Paolucci Sound Productions of Schwenksville. Free refreshments will consist of Kona Ice, apple cider, soda, hot chocolate, hot dogs, candy and balloons. Prizes will be awarded in two age groups (0-7) and (8-15) for the Most Original, Scariest, Best Character and Best Group.
The Central Perk Rotary has managed the parade for the Schwenksville Borough since 2008. While many local businesses contribute to the parade’s success, most of the funding is provided by the Borough. The Rotary Club is joined in their efforts by the local fire company, The Boy Scouts, women’s clubs and church groups.
The Central Perkiomen Rotary Club is a service organization and part of Rotary International. We meet the 1st & 3rd  Tuesday evening for dinner at 6:30pm at the Bay Pony Inn in Lederach, PA. Interested persons are invited to join us for a night of fellowship.
