The plans for our August 6 Golf Fundraiser continue to advance. Golf Chair Gary Frisch is working with Givsum to set up the registration website for the tournament. If you have donors from previous year’s tournaments, please contact them to invite their participation. Even if they are not able to contribute this, there is value in keeping our name in front of them for the future.
Build a Chair-
On Monday, our program was Build a Chair presented by Michelle Bailey with the Keystone Rotary E-Club and her partner in service, Shedrack Domingo from Tanzania. The need for wheelchairs is critical so these Rotarians custom build chairs in Tanzania using local crafters and local components for $260 per chair. Chairs here are 10 to 20 times that. The Smoky Hill Rotary Board and International Service Committee were so impressed with this project, it was voted to fund 4 chairs! Congratulations to Michelle, Shedrack, the Keystone Rotary E-Club and all of the other people who make this Rotary miracle happen.

The Rotary Clubs of Denver Northeast, Aurora, Aurora Gateway, and Smoky Hill joined forces volunteering at The Urban Farm for a Day of Service.
We were building and painting picnic tables, cleaning up the children's area, including painting, and cleaning up animal pens.
These sheets of plywood were being painted to line the horse corral to protect the horses legs if they kick. The wood makes less injuries than kicking the metal fencing!
