Our White Elephant Gift Exchange will be held at Meadow Hills Golf Club.  We tried to arrange a meeting with the Maclays at their current residence in Parker.  We hit a few snags so decided to have the meeting at Meadow Hills, usual time but no program.  Everyone is welcome to bring a guest to join the fun.  We’ll start with a Christmas Quiz with a prize for the most correct answers.

 

Darryl Harvey volunteered to deliver our Christmas gifts to Jewell Elementary last week.  I had a lot of fun purchasing toys, etc that were on the wish list for the family I selected.  I hope all of you also experienced the joy of giving.  Our small Club will provide a bright light for many families on Christmas.  GOOD JOB! (Note for the Editor-33 kids at Jewell Elementary School will have a better Christmas thanks to all of you! A special thanks to my wife, Donita, for helping organize, wrap and deliver the presents on Friday, just in time for the first snow of the season. Great timing.)

 

The Holiday Party on Sunday night was a lot more fun than watching the Bronco game.  We had time for fellowship and good food to eat.  Thank you to our members traveling long distances to attend.   

 

 

Put Monday, February 14, on the calendar as a “must attend” meeting.  Our District Governor, Ray Anderson, will be there to help us celebrate the Charter of Smoky Hill Rotary - 39 years ago. 

 

Smoky Hill Rotary was blessed to welcome three new members at our last regular meeting. I say new, true for Linda Forsythe, though Jean Buscherof has been attending via zoom for some months and Taylor Stephens was a member of the club many years ago, so counts as a returnee.
