At the September 8th meeting, Darryl Harvey was presented with his Paul Harris +8 pin by Foundation Chair, Lloyd Gottman. That means that Darryl is being recognized as having done something significant for others. He has contributed at least $8000 to be spent on humanitarian efforts around the world. His recognition is significant and something to be proud of. If you are not already doing so, consider becoming a Paul Harris Fellow by making monthly or yearly donations. Ask Jeff Kaes, Treasurer, how you can become a Paul Harris Fellow or contribute more.

Thank you to Clay Fell for spearheading this project.
FIRE SAFETY TRAILER DISTRICT GRANT APPROVED
As we continue to raise funds, primarily through grants and business donations, for the Fire Safety Mobile Trailer, a big shout-out goes to Hugh Radke and Brad Pierce (from the Aurora Rotary Club). They submitted a District 5450 matching grant for $8000 and got APPROVAL!! Smoky Hill and Aurora Rotary Clubs each contributed $4000 ($3000 from Smoky Hill Club and $1000 donation from two Club members) meaning $16,000 forward the $200,000 needed for the trailer. We are almost to the halfway mark in our fundraising efforts. This is a significant community project that Smoky Hill is proud to be a part of!!
