INSTALLATION DINNER: You received an Evite to the dinner on Sunday evening, June 12. The cost of $45 per person will be invoiced to you on your monthly statement. No changes will be accepted after June 9, you will be responsible for the dinner cost after that date. This dinner is held at the end of each Rotary year. We celebrate the people who make the Club work during the past year and salute the members who have agreed to take this job for the next Rotary year. It’s important for Smoky Hill Rotary Club members to attend and support these people.
DISTRICT GRANT APPROVED: President Betsy submitted a district grant request for a match of $3,000 to support Downtown Aurora Visual Arts (DAVA). Smoky Hill Rotary will donate $4,200 - $2,100 from the Community Service budget and $2,100 from a donor. DAVA will purchase twelve computer workstations for the Job Training Program. Students in the program use computers for graphic art projects. Current workstations are five years old and no longer support the projects. Once the new workstations arrive and are installed, a dedication will be held at DAVA. You will be encouraged to attend.

Smoky Hill Rotary Golf Just Around the Corner!
Registration is now open to play in the Smoky Hill Rotary Golf Tournament on August 5. Brochures are available and the information is on the web site: www.portal.clubrunner.ca. This our major fund-raiser for the year. It’s not too early to ask friends and family to support our Club. It’s up to us to make it a success!
Raffle Items Needed-
An integral part of the Golf Fundraiser is the raffle. We need items to raffle off! Some suggestions:
Gift baskets are a big item. Make your own or contribute items to be assembled into baskets. Wine and wine related items are always a welcome donation.
Gift certificates to hotels and restaurants.
Gift certificates to golf courses.
You can contact Talee Crowe for any questions or ideas for great auction items. She will be in charge of assembling gift baskets, etc. but will accept help if offered.
