Three of our Smoky Hill Rotarians are currently in Romania representing our Club at the Stei hospital dedication, outside of Oradea, Romania:  Bev Edwards, Betsy Jansen, and Linda Forsythe.  The actual dedication was on May 5th.  Smoky Hill has supported this hospital with medical equipment over the years.  Don’t miss the June 9th meeting when they will present a program about their visit and maybe some additional sightseeing adventures.
 
FOOD DRIVE continues!!!

Please bring in food items for the Rocky Mountain Food Bank. We have provided about 500 lbs of food so far but let’s get to 1000 lbs!!! Put items in your car now to bring to the May 12th meeting.
 
SUNDAY, FUNDAY!!

A big thank you to Clay fell for organizing our outing to the Stanley Marketplace Beer Hall. We had great attendance and great fun. 
 
Installation Dinner

Mark your calendars for Sunday, June 29th at 5:30 for our yearly Installation Dinner, again at Nonna’s. This is when we honor our current President, Linda Forsythe, and Board of Directors and pass the baton to the new President, Gary Frisch, and Board.
 
Golf Tournament

Golf Tournament on Friday, August 1st.  We need to have 100 players this year to meet the increased costs for Common Ground.  We held our fees steady for players but need more players to cover the increased costs.  So spread the word and get those sign-ups.
 
 Epic Day of Service 
Epic Day of Service is on Saturday, May 17th with our Fire Safety Field Day.  We are looking for volunteers to work from 9:30-1:00 at the City of Aurora Public Training Facility by the Arapahoe Fairgrounds.  If you are unable to volunteer, you can still help by donating any amount to the Mobile Fire Safety Trailer that will be used by the Aurora Fire Rescue to educate school children on escaping and avoiding fires in the home. Make a check out to the Aurora Rotary Foundation which has established a separate fund for the Trailer and give to Linda.
