At our Veteran’s Day Meeting Nov. 11th we honored our Smoky Hill Rotary Veterans, Lloyd Gottman, Tim Swenson, and Hugh Radke. Thank you for sharing a bit about your service and for serving our country!
Jewell Elementary Christmas gift giving.
Darryl Harvey is working with the school to gather a list of students and their Christmas wishes. He will email that to us as soon as he gets it but it usually is after Thanksgiving. Select one of more students to buy gifts for and remember that you don’t have to get everything on their list. Bring gifts to the December 9th White Elephant meeting. We will be bringing extra cheer to these students!!!

Christmas White Elephant on December 9th: There will no speaker this meeting as we have our Annual White Elephant Fun. Bring a wrapped, funny or obnoxious gift for others to “cherish.” We will have our usual game of opening and stealing. Christmas garb recommended along with any accessories, hohoho!

November is Rotary Foundation Month. This is a good time to donate before the year end. Within Rotary, donor recognition if named after well-known Rotarian Paul Harris. One “point” is awarded for each $1 given. As contributions and points add up to 1000, 2000, 3000, etc., Paul Harris awards are given to donors. Our club has a lot of points. You can ask for points to help you work toward your future Paul Harris Fellow Award. For example, I have 2,900 points and by giving another $100, I will reach the Paul Harris PHF+2 level. Contact Lloyd or myself, for more information.
