Installation Banquet
The club’s annual Installation Dinner was held June 22nd at Heritage Club Eagle Bend. The festivities began with 6pm cocktails followed by dinner. Terry and Linda Remigio did an outstanding job with the decorations and meal planning. Thanks again to Terry and Linda. President Talee Crowe reviewed the Rotary year and all the projects and events the club completed for the year. Karen and Alan Loeb from the DSE Club presented to Craig Essex the Kevin Farrell Leadership Award for District 5450 for nurturing leadership development in both youth and adults. It is a very deserving award to Craig Essex for all his hard work with RYLA and Young RYLA. Congratulations to Craig. PP Lolyd Gottman reviewed the club’s giving to the Rotary Foundation Annual Fund for the year. The club’s per capita amount is $417 which is third in the district. Thanks to Lolyd for a great year and to all the members who made contributions to Rotary Foundation. Hugh Radke, incoming president, covered the three areas he would like to see the club focus on this year.
  1. Increase membership by 3. The club has 30 members at the start of the year.
  2. Expand the Peaceful Schools program on bulling to the 3rd grade.
  3. Partner with another Aurora club on a project in Aurora.

Joint Board Meeting

Gary W. Fletcher Award

Congratulations to Jim Wingert as the winner of the Gary W. Fletcher Award presented to Jim by PP Talee Crowe at lunch on July 15th, 2019. Jim was unable to attend the installation banquet where the award was announced as part of PP Talee Crowe’s review of the events and awards the club accomplished during the year. This award is presented to a non-board member who had the greatest impact on the club for the year. Again, congratulations to Jim Wingert.
