Installation Dinner
The Installation Dinner on June 29th was a success with outgoing President Linda Forsythe presenting Board members with a tote bag with Rotary “treasures” inside from Talee Crowe’s garage. A slideshow highlighted many of the accomplishments and fun times from the 2024-25 Rotary year.
Rotarian of the Year
This year’s Rotarian of the Year award went to Beverly Edwards for her work on International projects. Over the years, Bev has made connections with Rotarians throughout the world which has led to Smoky Hill Rotary being involved in seven international projects this year which is rather unique. Bev lead the Smoky Hill contingency to Romania in May for the dedication of medical equipment in a rural Stei hospital and in honor of Rotarian, Bob Paget. All the behind the scenes work done by Bev on international projects is to be commended and appreciated!! Congratulations to Bev Edwards as our Rotarian of the Year!!!!

At the Installation Dinner, the GAVEL was handed off from now Past President, Linda Forsythe, to Smoky Hill’s new President, Gary Frisch. Have a great year, Gary!
Golf Tournament
Golf Tournament on Friday, August 1st. We need to have 100 players this year to meet the increased costs for Common Ground. We held our fees steady for players but need more players to cover the increased costs. So spread the word and get those sign-ups.
Raffle items for Golf Tournament
Please begin gathering items for our Golf Raffle. We usually generate about $1300 from the raffle but need to have enough great items for this. So hit up restaurants, golf courses, hotels, etc. Gift baskets are also good. Hugh is donating the TV again and Bev, the Broncos pre-season tickets. Email Hugh at
radke6775@msn.com with items you plan to donate. Last year was hectic because we didn’t have items early enough for Hugh to make signs for so we are preparing earlier this year.
