Shelter Box Update: Smoky Hill Rotary donated $1,000 to Shelter Box recently. They are currently working in Yemen. Work on one of the Philippine Islands has been completed; 20,000 people were served. Because of the donations received, Shelter Box is starting to work at another Philippine Island. Brittney Woodrum talked to our Club in 2019 about her plan to climb the 58 Fourteeners with a Shelter Box on her back. We pledged a donation to Shelter Box to support her effort. This type of activity is available to any Rotarian wishing to volunteer. Shelter Box will support any physical challenge activity.
