Smoky Hill Rotary’s Annual (or at least occasional) White Elephant Christmas Party was held on December 20 with much laughter, good fellowship and really bad gifts. The last of these is, of course, intentional. President Betsy started with a Christmas Quiz, which I won. I did not disclose that two of the harder questions had been part of a Christmas Quiz at another party a few days before. I did not know them at that time, but it was the margin of victory at our Rotary party.
PP Jeff Kaes got the prize gift of the day, a ceramic teapot in the form of an alligator.
There was a makers inscription on the bottom, so Jeff looked it up on ebay and found the exact same teapot being offered for the low, low price of $105! Despite repeated reminders of that fact, no one chose to steal the magical item from Jeff. Go figure.
These were more of the "gifts" (no, not the salt shaker).

District Governor’s Visit
Put Monday, February 14, on the calendar as a “must attend” meeting. Our District Governor, Ray Anderson, will be there to help us celebrate the Charter of Smoky Hill Rotary - 39 years ago.
