This last Saturday the 2025 STSK shopping event was held at the Southlands Walmart. 35 children from Jewell Elementary School received the school clothes they needed but which they might otherwise not have gotten. Ten Smoky Hill Rotarians and friends along with staff from Jewell came to make sure the kids were taken care of. I want to thank all of the people who participated on Saturday, but I also want to thank all of the people who contributed to our fundraising efforts over the past years. That service is what makes days like this possible. I also want to acknowledge the assistance of the Walmart staff who hosted us.
Finally, I want to thank the incredible people from Jewell Elementary, especially Valentina Talamantes the Family Liaison at the school, without whom this program could not succeed.
