Golf Fundraiser-
We had a very productive club assembly around our golf fundraiser. Gold Chair Gary Frisch reported that we had 108 golfers identified out of the 120 we need to meet our minimum with the golf course. Gary will be speaking with the golf course on the logistics of the tournament (tee time vs shotgun, how to handle lunch and breakfast, policy on golf carts, etc.) We will need to put together an online presence to handle publicity, registration, awards, and sale of mulligans, etc. We will contact Givsum as one possibility. Jacci Mason suggested Cheddarup, a company that handles donations, etc. for many scout organizations. In all, it looks like we are on track to have our fundraiser as scheduled, Aug. 6.
District Conference-
District 5450’s District Conference is coming up on May 7 and 8. It will be a mostly virtual event. You can find more information on the District website. There will also be a Day of Service on May 8 as part of the conference. We are looking into trying to set something up with the Scouts for a day of outdoor service.

Celebration of the Week: March 27th - Earth Hour 8:30-9:30 PM
How to Celebrate?
Earth Hour is observed annually on the last Saturday of March. From 8:30 p.m to 9:30 p.m people are encouraged to turn their lights and non-essential appliances off, in an effort to raise awareness about the issues of climate change, and encourage people to do something to protect the planet.
