District Governor, Ray Anderson, will be our special guest at our Monday meeting, January 14. Please make an effort to attend either in person or via Zoom.
Dacian Coita, Oradea, Romania Rotary Club will also attend via Zoom and will give us an update on our International Project that was completed in 2020.
Smoky Hill Rotary Club was chartered on January 23, 1983. We send a special anniversary wish to our charter members.
PP Bill Maclay, one of our charter members, has resigned from the Club. He has been physically unable to attend meetings and decided it was time for him to leave. We will miss Bill and his short but very wise invocations and his participation in our events.
The District Communications/Public Relations Committee invites all members to attend a gathering to socialize and be interviewed for a tape that can be used on our social media platforms. It will be held on February 16, 4 to 6 pm at Meadow Hills Country Club. There will be an open bar and light refreshments served.
A website, RotaryWildfireReady.com will give you a link to sign up for emergency evacuation notices from your county of residence. The site also talks about preparing for an evacuation and other valuable information.

Golf Is Here!!
Not literally golf is here. Not in February (unless you are PP Gary Frisch or PP Joe Hughes). Nevertheless, the club Golf Committee is well into the planning stage for the 2022 Smoky Hill Rotary Golf Tournament. Stay tuned for updates as we get closer to the event. The Golf Committee will meet again on March 15, so if you have anything you want to pass on for their consideration, please talk to Gary.
District Governor’s Visit
Put Monday, February 14, on the calendar as a “must attend” meeting. Our District Governor, Ray Anderson, will be there to help us celebrate the Charter of Smoky Hill Rotary - 39 years ago.
