Saturday, September 7 featured Smoky Hill Rotarians, Friends, and Family joining Jewell Elementary Staff, Parents, and their Kids for School Clothes Shopping! About 35 students were treated to a $200 budget for shopping for clothes for the schoolyear. Besides the great students' smiles and happy parents maybe the highlight was seeing the students hug their teachers and staff when they arrived on Saturday morning. Donuts and Orange Juice got things started and then the shopping began. Four hours later we had happy students, staff, parents, and Rotarians! Thanks to Past President Darryl Harvey for leading this event for 22 years! A great start to President Linda Forsythe's year as well.
DISTRICT GOVERNOR VISIT:
Our District Governor, Tamara Fennell will be attending and speaking at our September 23rd meeting so let’s show her how great Smoky Hill is! Her presentation will be “Rotary, An Expression of Who We Are.” An opportunity for Rotarians to share their personal and club passions

FROM THE PREZ:
There’s only so much Rotary Trivia to share so on
the fourth Monday Rotary Meeting, we will be adding a ROTARY MOMENT to our agenda.
A Rotary Moment is a two to three-minute personal story that reflects a highly memorable experience in your Rotary life. It might be an experience that impacted you so greatly that it transformed you from simply being a member of Rotary to becoming a Rotarian, or an experience that you will always remember as a key point in your Rotary Life. I hope this to become a reminder of why we are Rotarians!
