The members of Smoky Hill Rotary Club are invited to a welcome dinner for Dacian Coita from the Oradea, Romania Rotary Club on Saturday, October 8, 6PM at Valley Country Club.  If you would like to attend and have not made a reservation, please do so by end of day on October 6 (Thursday).  We will be in the Creekside Room and the reservation is in my name.

 

Dacian has been visiting other Rotary Clubs in the US and will be in the Denver area from October 8 to October 11.  He will also attend our meeting on Monday, October 10.

Monday’s meeting will have a very special agenda, so I urge all members to attend.

1) Dacian Coita from the Oradea, Romania Rotary Club will be with us in person to give an overview of Romania and Ukranian relief activities.

2) We will discuss our club fundraising with the Golf Event being the focus. PP Jeff Kaes did a financial reconciliation of the golf receipts with the total now coming in at $17,898 which is substantially better than that previously reported.

3) Audio-Visual / Zoom – We will discuss ongoing need/plan and specifics regarding setup so that we can utilize them in the event that I am unable to attend.

CYNTHIA LOWRY submitted an application for membership at Smoky Hill Rotary.  President Craig invited her to attend a meeting and encouraged her to join.  Cynthia’s daughter, Hope, attended RYLA a few years ago and enjoyed the experience.  

Cynthia lives in Denver, sells real estate and is very interested in our volunteer activities.  She participated in the Jewell Elementary “Back to School” clothes event.
