Bev Edwards, Betsy Jansen, and Linda Forsythe have returned from Romania  and the Dedication of medical equipment in a rural Stei hospital. Be sure to come to June 9th meeting for their presentation of the trip with sights and insights.

 

Our second Fire Safety Field Day was a huge success with almost 400 attendees, 20 vendors/sponsors and 34 volunteers.  Participants had multiple opportunities to experience how fire fighters, law enforcement and emergency medical professionals do their life-saving work. And there was loads of activities like Race the Fire Fighters and Dress like a Fire Fighter as well as a sponsor Bingo, all of which added to the excitement and fun.  Thanks to Hugh Radke, Gary Frisch, Darryl Harvey and Betsy Hansen for volunteering to work this event and a special thank-you to Linda Forsythe who stepped up to chair the event this year.  Also, thanks to the Aurora Rotary Club for the great collaboration we had partnering with them for this event.

 
 

 

On April 25th, Clay Fell presented the Food Bank of the Rockies a check for $1000 from our Smoky Hill Rotary Foundation.  Additionally, we continue to provide canned, non-perishable food items on a monthly basis to the Food Bank.  Smoky Hill has become a sustaining partner with Food Bank of the Rockies!!
