District Governor's Visit
District Governor Cindy Rold is visited our Club on Monday October 13. She mentioned that she would be visiting 4 clubs in the District that week! The theme for this year is Unite For Good. She touted the Rotary International Convention (this year it is in Taipei) as an event that changed her entire perspective on what the "International" in Rotary really meant.
As part of he visit she presented Smoky Hill and Past President Linda Forsythe with the Club Excellence Award and the Polio Plus Award. Congrats to the entire club!

FOOD DRIVE for the Rocky Mountain Food Bank
November and February are the months we are designating as contributing food and/or money to the Rocky Mountain Food Bank. Please mark your calendar as reminders to bring in contributions at the regular meetings in November and February.
Thank you to PP Clay Fell for spearheading this project.
Volunteers Needed for Ronald McDonald
The next time Smoky Hill Rotary will be cooking for Ronald MacDonald House is October 29th from 4:00-8:00. This is a great event and a lot of fun. Talking to the families is immensely rewarding as well. If you can be part of the volunteer crew, please let PP Linda Forsythe or PP Betsy Jansen know.
Gratuitous Photo
I would have had more to say about this one, but you can see I cut President Gary Frisch and PP Paul Urtz off so I got nothing more to say or confess to.
