District Governor Buchi Anapezie will be hosting the ROTARY DISTRICT 5450 AREA MEETING ( Smoky Hill, Aurora Gateway, Aurora, Denver Northwest, and Aurora Fitszimmons) get together on August 29^th at 5:00 pm. At Generals Park, 1561 Quentin St., Aurora CO 80010. This get together will be in lieu of our regular club meeting.

Please bring either a children's book or a nonperishable food donation for the Little Free Food Pantry in Aurora (sponsored by Aurora Gateway Club).

On Saturday August 20, Smoky Hill Rotarians, friends and family gathered with families and children from Jewell Elementary School for the 21^st Annual Special Things For Special Kids shopping event at Walmart. We were joined by staff from Jewell. At the end of the day, 28 kids got school clothes they otherwise probably would not have gotten. What a great way to kickoff another school year! A big thank you to the Jewell Staff, particularly Cathy Mulqueen and Selena Castillo for their help, and to Syeda Lee, the Walmart liaison whose has been working with Smoky Hill for years to make the day happen.
