President Dave Maxwell opened today's meeting and immediately turned it over to Past President Gary Frisch who is looking for another golfer to make 2 foursomes for the Smoky Hill Golf Cup Tournament.   Of course, should there be more than one member interested please step forward and let Gary know for the September 18th event with tee time expected around noon.  Not a golfer.  Go ahead and join them at Murphy Creek for the famous (or is it infamous?) 19th hole.

President Dave thanked Past President Al Horton for arranging last Monday's successful social event for members, spouses and guests.   Next on the agenda is the announcement that the Board of Directors will be meeting henceforth on the 4th Thursday of the month in order to accommodate schedules.

ANNOUNCEMENT NO MEETING NEXT MONDAY SEPTEMBER 7th DUE TO THE LABOR DAY HOLIDAY.

Past President Craig Essex introduced the 2nd RYLA attendee, Grace Lowry.  Grace reported that she learned so much attending although she didn't want to go but did and found 11 new friends.  Grace's sister, Hope, went last year.

Denny Passantino introduced today's speakers, Carol Baumbush and Gail Lehman, who are from the SouthEast Denver Rotary Club.  They are the founders and creators of an anti-bullying program called Peaceful Schools Partnership, in conjunction with the Conflict Center and Operation Respect.   Wow!   What a program these ladies have come up with and that Carol presented!    I took lots of notes and decided one could go on for some time about it.   However, the summary is that they have taken the Rotary 4-Way Test and simplified it for youngsters.   1. Is it true?    2.  Is it fair?  3. Can it build Friendships (possibly my interpretation)?  and 4. Is it good for everyone?  Older students present this program to younger students and are/ or become their role models.  A great tool and program for Interact students.  Three schools signed up initially and this year 5 schools and 1 public library are implementing it.   Carol reports that 11 Rotary Clubs are currently supporting this program.
