One of the most widely printed and quoted statements of business ethics in the world is the Rotary 4-Way Test. It was created by Rotarian Herbert J. Taylor in 1932 when he was asked to take charge of a company that was going bankrupt. He created a 24 word code of ethics for all employees to follow in their professional and personal life: Is it the Truth? Is it Fair to all Concerned? Will it Build Goodwill and Better Friendships? Will it be Beneficial to all Concerned? Centered around the 4-Way Test is the annual International Rotary Student Speaker contest. Beginning at the Club Level, Students compete to attempt to reach the District Level Competition and a chance to win a college Scholarship. This years Theme for 2015 / 2016 is Be a Gift to the World. City of Industry Rotary Club will be holding our Club Level Competition on Tuesday, February 23rd at the pacific Palms from 12:10 to 1:30 pm. Students from Wilson High School, Los Altos High School, La Puente High School, Nueva Vista High School, and Bassett High School will be competing. GOOD LUCK TO ALL STUDENTS!
