Our main speaker today was Beth Garrow, Rotary Regional Major Gifts Officer of the Rotary Foundation.  She is based in Southern California and joined us via Zoom today.  She noted the "standing" of our club in Foundation giving for this year with 37 member donors and $225,615 total all-time giving.  The Rotary Foundation remains strong: more that 100 year history of humanitarian work, stable reserves, conservative investment strategies and the highest 4-star rating on Charity Navigator for 13 consecutive years.  Last year the Foundation raised over $440 million while making over $332 million grants worldwide.  Eradicating polio remains the Foundation's primary goal.  Beth closed by outlining all the various ways that members can help in the funding of the Foundation's worldwide projects.

Rotary has made it extremely easy for members to donate to the Foundation.  Here are a few: make out a check to Rotary Foundation and give it to our chairman Cameron or mail it to The Rotary Foundation; online you can donate at https://my.rotary.org/en/donate;
you make a recurring gift through Rotary Direct at https://my.rotary.org/en/rotary-direct; you can set up a matching gift at https://ww2.matchinggifts.com/rotary.
