Camp Krem

We would love to speak at your meeting about Camp Krem and the programs we offer to children and adults with developmental disabilities. We were founded in 1957 by my grandfather Alex -- last year was our 60th anniversary. We serve individuals with a wide range of disabilities (Down Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Cerebral Palsy, Williams Syndrome, Prader Willi Syndrome to name a few) with our Summer Camp and weekend respite programs. We are excited to share our mission, tell you about the different programs we offer and talk about ways we'd love to involve the local community in what we do. I have worked at Camp Krem for the last ten years and am honored to get to work with our amazing campers.

Survivors of Homelessness and Human Trafficking Rise Together Across The Globe

Carmel Jud is the founder and executive director of Rising International.

One evening Carmel Jud reached over to the pile of books stacked at the side of her bed and read one question that changed her life. “How are you best suited to serve humanity?” Two years later Carmel and her husband sold almost everything they owned, moved into a donated barn and launched Rising International.

Rising International is the first non-profit to use the home party business model to contribute to solving world poverty. Carmel's innovative idea for alleviating poverty using the direct sales model has earned her much recognition and several awards, including Huffington Post’s “Greatest Person of the Day”  the Woman of the World” award, the 2014 Ashoka Changemaker Award, and in 2017 Rising International was awarded the prestigious Silicon Valley Community Impact Award.

She will share how Rising International is enabling women surviving homelessness, gender-based violence and human trafficking to connect with other survivors around the globe. Through the power of entrepreneurship they help each other to rise.
